Welcome to the 2010/2011 season of Destination ImagiNation® (DI)!  Are you ready for another fun and creative year?  Georgia DI is ready to help you prepare for the coming season. To get started, visit our website at www.gadi.org.  We’ll provide you with the most up-to-date information about Destination ImagiNation in Georgia.

Continuing our efforts from last year, Destination ImagiNation, Inc. and Georgia DI have major efforts underway to grow the program here in Georgia and across the US.  These initiatives are entitled “Start a Team” and you can find out more details at www.idodi.org.  Recruiting & retention efforts are underway and we’re seeing phenomenal success! Team Managers, we have several new opportunities opening up for you.  You'll be receiving follow up emails describing ways to earn some money and ways to get more support through the year, so watch your inbox!

Now is the time to purchase your team number & materials and gain access to the 2010/2011 Challenges.  Visit www.shopDI.org and click on “Purchase Your Membership”.  Again this year, Destination ImagiNation will send you the complete challenge package in the mail.  In addition, you can immediately download the challenges (and related material) from the Resource Area at www.idodi.org.

To assist you and your teams, we are offering several events throughout the program year.  Our 2010 - 2011calendar has been updated and can be found on our website (www.gadi.org).

Our First Event:

Mark your calendars: Georgia Team Manager training will be held on Saturday, October 23 at 9:30 AM (location Trinity School). This should get you started. Please check out both the national and state website. They both have a wealth of information!

Calling all Volunteers

We’re looking for volunteers to serve on one or more of our standing committees:

-Events/Training Committee – Laura Patrick

-Tournament Committee – Tambryn Laine

-Sales & Design Committee (formerly Pin/T-shirt Committee) – Scott Mulkey

The chairs of these groups are already working on the year and they would love any and all support and ideas.  If you are looking to assist at actual events, you'd just like to be part of the planning and organizing process, or you simply want to offer some ideas for more fun and more improvement, drop a note to one of the committee organizers.
